    Housing Information
    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) gives active service members two options for housing; living on post or finding a home off-post within the community.

    • Once you have orders to move, contact the NSA Annapolis Housing Services Office (410) 293-9731/9739 or TF: (800) 421-1474. They can answer all of your housing questions and provide services such as referrals, resolving tenant-landlord disputes, and guidance for entering lease agreements.

    U.S. Naval Academy On Post Housing

    • Single service members can contact Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) (410) 293-9067/9070 for assistance with room assignment and check-in procedures.

    • On-base housing for the U.S. Naval Academy is offered at NSA Annapolis, which is privatized and provided by Lincoln Military Housing (410) 919-4548. They have 9 neighborhoods; 4 of which are dedicated to Academy personnel. Tot lots, swimming pools and playgrounds are just a few of the community features.     The city of Annapolis is located on the Chesapeake Bay in a less populated area of Maryland east of Washington D.C. and south of Baltimore. Families who wish to live outside the city can find off post housing in the following communities: Parole, Crownsville, Arnold, Cape St. Claire, Severna Park, Crofton, Davidsonville, Edgewater, and Selby-on-the-Bay. A typical commute in Annapolis is about 26 minutes. It takes about 40 minutes, in good traffic, to get to both Washington D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. The only bridge to Kent Island from both these cities travels directly past Annapolis. Kent Island, on Maryland's Eastern Shore, is one of the oldest European settlements in the country, only younger than Jamestown and Plymouth.

    The United States Naval Academy is located in Annapolis, Maryland, and admission requirements are very selective and based on the highest of qualifications. Only about 14 percent of all candidates who apply get accepted to the United States Naval Academy. The Academy prepares candidates for a life of duty, honor and loyalty, both mentally and physically. This institution has been successfully graduating naval students for over 150 years.
